Mission and Objectives

Our Mission

The mission of the PC-TRiADD Centre of Excellence for Commercialization and Research is to serve as a hybrid between academic research and the biotechnology industry to foster team-driven translational health research. Our aim is to discover how prostate cancer progresses and why it resists therapies and use this information to develop new services and products to improve cancer outcomes and promote regional growth of biotechnology.

Our Objectives

  1. Accelerate discovery, development, and commercialization of anti-cancer therapeutics
  2. Improve our recruitment, training and retention of Highly Qualified Personnel to fuel the biotechnology industry in BC and in Canada
  3. Achieve long-term operational sustainability by generating intellectual property

Dr. Wyatt receives a CIHR Early Career Investigator Award

Dr. Alex Wyatt has been awarded a CIHR Early Career Investigator Award for $345,000 over 3 years.  His project aims to develop a procedure that will enable the identification of metastatic bladder cancer patients most likely to respond to specific therapies.
